Has anyone out there actually attempted to do this???
A distant family member has told us to go ahead and reclaim but I'm not sure. My parents have so far got a copy of their bank statments from the last 6 years and are in the process of detailing what they want to reclaim.
Is it actually worth it?? Does anyone know a good place to go for advice?? We've been told to look at www.moneysavingexpert.com Are we looknig in the right place or is there somewhere better???
All advice would be gratefully received.

if you have been charged for going overdrawn then you may be entitled to claim.
the banks are alleged to have given punitive penalties for being o/d in the past.
you can d/l a specimen letter from the website.
not all bank charges are excessive.when i complained to my bank for charging me when i went overdrawn (not my banks fault) they waived all charges.
if you feel upset by your bank - write to them.
you should be a team, after all.
