anyone who reads this on a regular basis will know that i gave my mum my engagement ring at the new year for her to try and sell for me. well, since then, i have restarted contact with my ex and he seemed quite disappointed that i'd given it to her to sell. anyway, when i spoke to mum about me having spoken to him and probably going to see him (my ex, who from now on will be referred to as SD), we got to talking about my ring.
well, mum intended to not tell me what was happening with it until she had some money, but selling it is proving difficult! she has been to the shops in the area and the best price for it so far is £39.50!! apparently my step dad laughed when he heard this, thought the bloke in the shop was joking, but he wasn't. do you know where it is right now? on ebay!!! my sisters friend has put it on. there is a reserve on it, but i doubt it will sell. SD seemed quite disappointed when i told him i had decided to sell it, maybe he will be pleased if it doesn't sell or maybe he'll sell it for me as he seems to know someone who can pretty much sell/buy anything you need!
i've been onto ebay and looked it up, aution ends wednesday or thursday this week, so should i meet SD next weekend i'll be able to tell him then whether it has sold or not.... i daren't tell him it's on ebay, reckon he'd laugh and i really don't know who's idea it was but it's worth a shot. there is a small part of me which is hoping it doesn't sell, maybe i'll wear it again, just as a ring but if it sold, the money would come in handy. its a case of just sitting back and waiting....... and checking ebay everyday to see what's happening
