Friday 3rd November 2006......
I finished work at 4pm. My suitcase was already packed and it was in the back of my car. I drove down to yours but left my case in the car until you got home so you could carry it up the stairs to your flat. You showered and changed, brought my case in and you made a start on packing!! I couldn't believe you'd left it so late but we weren't leaving until tomorrow afternoon so I helped you get sorted.
Saturday 4th November 2006.....
You still had some clothes to iron and you decided we were going into town to do some last minute shopping (for what I can't remember). Before we did anything though, you made me a cup of tea and some breakfast and served it to me in bed (I used to love our weekends at yours).
After getting ready, we went into town and when we got back, you finished ironing and I made us a pack up for our tea. Mid afternoon, we loaded up the car and drove to the Holiday Inn near Heathrow airport where we were spending the night. We had an amazing view for miles and miles of fireworks going off and planes landing and I was getting more and more excited as tomorrow we were flying off on the holiday of a lifetime.
Sunday 5th November 2006.......
We skipped breakfast at the hotel and got the bus to the airport. We checked in and then had a very large breakfast as we weren't sure what food we would be served or when as we were going on a long flight. Our destination was Las Vegas, but we had to change at Chicago.
We spent 3 amaxing nights in Vegas staying in the Stratosphere. We spent our time checking out the hotels and casinos, I saw the fountains at the Bellagio (one of my dreams) and we had a lovely meal at The Top of the World and wehad an amazing trip to the Grand Canyon.
We then moved onto Los Angeles and the Ramada, West Hollywood. Whilst here we took a coach trip to loads of different places including the Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Hollywood Bowl and many other places. Everywhere we went you were buying me more and more things. You didn't want anything, you saw things you liked but the money was spent on me! We also went to Universal Studios for the day which was absolutely amazing. I'd neer been anywhere like it before.
After 4 amazing nights here, we moved on to spend 5 nights in the fabulous San Francisco. This was just a perfect end to the holiday (although I wish we'd discovered the cable cars on our 1st day there and not on the 3rd). We had a bay cruise, went to Alcatraz, took a trip over the Golden Gate bridge, went on a duck tour!, fisherman's wharf, you picked me a pearl on pier 39 and had it made into a ring. We went exploring lots of sights, did loads of window shopping and discovered the most amazing breakfast bap at Carl's Jr (basically a breakfast in a bun) it was so yummy we had one nearly every morning whilst here and we also went to Starbucks far too often! The only down side was we were staying on the verge of downtown and there were a few too many homeless people around the hotel so we never stayed out too late.
I don't ever want to forget the amazing time we had, I just wish we could have more times like this but I don't see it happening but I'm not ready to let you go yet. There are times when I wish I was because I get so upset everyday thinking about you and what we've lost where I know if I let you go it would be easier to move on and maybe it wouldn't hurt so much. I'll never meet anyone like you, I don't think I'll ever gain the confidence to get back out there and date again, I HATE MYSELF
